Chippewa Valley Nature Fest
The 5th annual Chippewa Valley Nature Festival is hosted by the Gaylord Nelson Audubon Society, and focuses on birds, plants, and insects. Friday evening kick-offs held at the UW-Stout with a social hour and silent auction. The Friday presentations this year are the Eagle Center from Wabasha (live birds) and Loriee del terre (Sacred Water Sacred Land) speaking about “Nature Rights”. Saturday involves workshops/presentations as well as numerous field trips. Saturday night is a social gathering at the Duke and Dagger accompanied by “Bird Trivia” hosted by Steve Betchkal. Sunday concludes the festival with an open-air train trip through the Tiffany State Wildlife Area. TMLIA is proud to provide one of Saturday’s field trip opportunities with a pontoon tour around Lake Menomin, that addressese the water quality of our local watershed.
